Getting the work done on it now. I got the resonator and mufflers removed. It didn't sound raspy at all which is why I decided to go through with it. I'll post a video as soon as I get a chance.

You're going to hate the drone! I straight piped mine last fall and cruising RPM puts it right in the Drone area.

Very nice, how is it in the cabin when on the highway? Is it way too loud or is it not too bad?

Hence why i have removed it. Sounds bad *** on start up, idle and and full throttle but too much interior drone for me at cruising speed. Sucks too cause I i fabed it up myself and it didn't work out.

I like that sound indeed but can see it droning. I ended up going with two Magnaflow 5inx9in ovals that are 12in long and then a much much smaller resonator that is about 14in. It has a nice volume that is quiet on the inside and decently loud on the outside. I am contemplating adding a Y pipe to delete the third cat, or possibly just drilling out the existing cat and putting it back on for a stock look.

What exactly had you done to the car? just a resonator and muffler delete or was this just muffler delete?

I am leaning towards a muffler delete only but ive been looking in getting some resonators and tips but its almost as expensive as getting the Stillen axleback... Gotta love exchange rate

When I got my exhaust the technician showed me the noise with a stock resonator and magnaflow mufflers, it was almost stock sound. If you look under your car the resonator is huge !! It is a monster, if you want better sound with limited drone you need to get a smaller resonator with different mufflers too.

Its really to each their own i guess. I have a 20 months old toddler with me most of the time and another one on the way so I need something without the drone but still a nice deep tone.

Does anyone have the Stillen exhaust? Would like to see an owners video/sound clip of their max and their own review. Yes I already saw the Stillen vid, but I don't always trust manufacturer videos. I think it sounds good, but not sure if there is drone. Don't want it too loud either. MPB, your exhaust sounded awesome, but a little to loud for my taste as well.
