Maybe? Hard to judge, but this video is under 5 seconds long.

I have 28 pound 20" wheels and 245/35/20 Summitomo HTR ZIII summer tires.

The dial MPH and the Digital MPH are out of sinc when the video ends, 54 vs 60 MPH. Which one is correct?

Max does not make enough power for it's weight to do that, high 5's to 6 (maybe mid 5.5- 5.6 on a good day) the old 3.7 RWD 328 hp Q50 with more power and a similar weight struggled to get under 5 sec to 60.

The dial is correct. The digital readout doesn't update immediately.

What are these restrictions under 40mph?

Sorry, I'm a VW guy that bought a Nissan. My last car was a 2015 VW GTi that ate 2 clutches from all the torque it had. 300ish whp and 350 torque to the wheels. It did 140 mph easily and regularly.

I had a few GTi's and WRX's. This car is in a way different league.

WOT restriction. 370z has it as does the Titan. I had UpRev Cipher logs from my 7th Gen Maxima which clearly showed the throttle was not 100% below certain speeds and began pulling it back @ ~90 MPH. I ended up disabling the torque management to remedy it.

Back on topic, the 8th Gen Maxima would need more HP to get under 5s 0-60.

I have a 8th gen maxima which gets 5.5-5.6 every single time. Nismo Juke RS 0-60 is not under 6 secs, its more like 6.6-6.7!!!!! Maybe you meant Nismo 370Z, then that is a different story.. Those things can fly to 60 in about 4.9 seconds which is good...

Under 5 secs is not possible unfortunately.. However 5.5-5.6 is not bad for a car of this size and weight.

This car does get to 60 pretty fast, and I'm coming from a car that crushed the new 370z on the highway. The turbo 4 cylinder in the 2015+ GTi is capable of 110+ mph trap speeds with just a tune and 115mph with a tune a a few supporting mods. However, this thing gets off the line much better. The GTi would spin the tires past 60 mph in 2nd gear, but first gear was useless without slicks.

From 40-120 I had the newer 370z by a few car lengths once I realized he was racing me. He had at least good tires and an exhaust, but bolt ons don't help nearly as much on a normally aspirated engine.

For example, my catless downpipe in the GTi added over +20 hp/tq and it was only a $170 downpipe that retained the stock catback. Apples to oranges I know, but at 40 years old much happier with this car

I am surprised when people say maxima gets in 6 second range. I have consistently been getting it in 5.6-5.7 range. Anyways it does acceleration much better than other cars I have personally driven. I feel the car to be faster initially atleast till 40. However, the time is always debatable as it depends on how one drives their car.

How do I disable the torque management?

Only way is via a tune. I purchased the Osiris tuning suite from UpRev only to find out the '16 is not yet supported. So, I returned it. UpRev claim to be working on it. Nevertheless, I tuned my 7th Gen the same way and it made a very nice change. I had logs which showed the ECU closing the throttle at speeds.

By the way, love the GTI videos. Impressive.

Here's my Z06

You'll need more than tires. Grip isn't the issue in 0-60. Power to weight, throttle management (ecu), gearing, etc. is the issue.

Sub 5 seconds is pretty rare air for a four door family sedan. Frankly, anything between 5.5 and 6 is pretty darned awesome if you ask me.

Agreed. I'd say under 5 seconds for any FWD car without slicks is going to be really tough.
