Sub and Amp installation

Has anyone installed sub and amp by themselves? Or does anyone know which side and the exact location the firewall is for power wire to go from engine bay to trunk? Also how did you install the remote wire?

I too have been considering this. Have you been unhappy with the bose audio? I feel the lows are lacking, the highs screech and overpower while the mids are missing. Not even eq control for the mids in the stereo. I wish i noticed that before i got my SR and dont get me started on the poor blue tooth sound quality and the poor usb dive controls.
Im ready to talk to an audio shop to see what can be done to get some real audio in the car.
Its too bad the stereo is integrated into the car. I dont see any easy way of bypassing or replacing the bose system but im not an car stereo installer so hopefully there's a way.
Overall for a 40K car my 30K 2012 GTI had a better sound system.
Nissan should be ashamed

Audio is a little bit off, with EQ controls it's not too bad. I am actually pretty surprised how much bass the stock speakers have. Don't have any problems with bluetooth, but usb drive does have issues every now and then.

I just need to know where the firewall is since the engine bay is so damn cramped. If I can find that out and the wires to tap into for RCA and Remote wire then I am all set.
