weatherstripping

Is anyone having a problem with their weatherstripping? I am not the world's smallest or most graceful guy, and I apparently hit the driver side weatherstripping when I get in. So with about 6k on the car there are holes in the weatherstripping. I have solved the problem temporarily with electrical tape, which is not too noticeable, but I am trying to decide if I should replace.

I have noticed that is seems flimsy and have checked it after getting in/out/brushing against it to see if it is detached from the door.

I have a rip in mine on the passenger side front door. It'd about 3 inches long. Not sure how I got it, because I usually have no passengers.

Their all kinda in to location to be rubbed since 1981...but maybe they're super thin!

Went to the Stealership today, and they have a new weatherstrip on order for later install.

09Maxima_Sam - Let us know how the install goes.

By the way, nice (and complete) weather site.

Finally got that door weatherstripping replaced, it appears Nissan has had issue with it and has had the part redesigned. It looks much better now and appears to be a more stout material. Of course it was replaced under warranty, but I saw the price that the stealership is charging corporate and it was about $130.
