Interior panel scratches

Is there a way to repair these types of scratches or make them less visible?

Is this part easily replaceable? Am I crazy for caring about this?

That piece of plastic should be replaceable. Get the part number from the dealer and the cost. If it is too much then shop around the internet with the part number. You should be able to get this from CourtesyNissan.com.

I think its safe to use sanding and polishing to get rid of the scratch. However, the plastic has some grains and those would be wiped creating some weary eyes to catch it.
OR
Replace, best bet is going to dealer asking the part number and getting online. Those trim are easy to replace. The worst you will do is break those tab while removing it.

Before you go replacing anything please try Meguiars PlastX. It's made to get scratches out of plastic. Also keep in mind these are kick panels. They will keep getting messed up by people's feet. You can always cover them in a wrap, carpet, felt so that way you don't have to worry about it. GL with everything

I'm **** about my '17 too. That scratch would just drive me nuts. What I suggest is trying Back to Black polish. I have not tried it on scratches like that but it may work because it cuts the reflection of scratches and worn vinyl that make the scratches show more. Another thing you might try is to go to a paint shop (CarPaint comes to mind) and take that little piece with you. Ask them to color-match that color. They will mix up a tiny bottle for you. Then you can use a very tiny, slender paint brush and with a very good young eye you might be able to hide that scratch satisfactorily. Good luck.

I just ordered felt/carpet protection kit 38$ on ebay for my new max. I would not help in this case, but would protect the lower doors from kick scratches and etc.

Hey guys.. I have replaced the piece at the dealer. They ordered the part and installed it for around 60USD.

What is the product you ordered on eBay? Would you mind hooking me up with a link... just curious.

I've used Meguiars before and its helped noticeably. Worth the chance of it fixing it for a low price.

Will you report back on how this product works for you, quality? Fit?

Thanks!
