Hello everyone. I recently bought a 2017 Platinum with medallion package. I am sourcing out the SR wheels and will have 4 of them with tires soon. However, they do not come with TPMS. Will the TPMS on my medallion 18" swap directly over to the OEM SR 19"? Or will I need to buy new sensors.

I had this done on my 2010 mustang gt a while back... I went to discount tire, they took the tpms sensors out, rebuilt the gaskets, put them in the new wheels and reprogrammed them to the tire and wheel size. No big deal. But couldn't tell you about our cars.

 

Going by the 2016 model year [with part#40700-3JA0B] it should be a direct swap. To avoid reprogramming just retain the sensors in their present locations as you fit them into the new wheels.

 

I just swapped them out, and yes they will fit.
