New tires

Just ordered some SR OEM take offs that do not include tires. What tire you think I should go with? I have a platinum max, and am thinking of Summer tires, as I live in Jacksonville, Florida. Tire rack has good reviews on the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. This car is my daily driver, with a 40 mile round trip to work every day. Think this is a good choice?

Hi HTown, I know this is the wrong thread for this but I happen to be a fellow Jacksonvillian, can I ask how much you spent to get yours? (OTD), I'm planning to hit the market later this year

I didn't buy this in Jacksonville. However, they had decent deals similar to this in Daytona when I was looking I believe.
I paid $36,800 OTD.
2017 Platinum with Medallion Package.
MSRP on window sticker was $39,990
Medallion Package at $1,345
Splash Guards at $190 and Floor mats, trunk mat and trunk net at 250.
Destination Charges at $865
Total MSRP was $42,640.
Discount of $9017.47 comes down to $33622.53
Taxes were $2476.72
Tags, Title, State fees were $700.75.
Out the door price of $36,800 from a dealer in Tennessee.

Thanks for that, seems to be right in line with what I'm hoping to spend. Thanks for sharing some local perspective on it!

Just put the new Super Sports on. I am pleased so far. Definitely a good buy, unless you put 50k a year on your car.

They quiet? I hate road noise and need tires.

I think they are very quiet. My opinion might be skewed a bit. I came from a lifted truck sitting on 35" mud terrains. I drove that truck for 7 years with various mud terrains on it, so I am used to loud road noise.
I put about 4k miles on the stockers. Mostly interstate mileage. TN to VA, VA to TN. TN to FL. I believe the super sports are quieter than the OE tires. If I had to make the purchase again, I would 100% go with the super sports.
