2014 vs 2016 max

I previously owned a 2011 and 2002. I'm a Max guy. Been driving wife's Toyota for years but some idiot totaled it while parked outside of the house. Been driving a rental 2016 S for a couple of weeks and love it. Trying out a 2014 SV from carvana and it doesn't feel anything like the 2016. Miss the features and power cut feel more sluggish than the 2016. What are your thoughts? Price on used is similar so really just a buying decision. Everyone happy with the 2016 besides the dark paint swirls issue? I'd be going for silver again. Thanks.

traded in my 2013 Sport for a 2017 "S"
No HID headlights
No heated and cooled seats
navigation and radio are much faster.
the 2017 feels quicker
the 2017 has stupid fake shifts
the 2017 gets about 5 mpg better
the 2017 looks better
2017 has carplay - Don't use it
the 2013 Bluetooth quit answering calls correctly with the last iphone update 2017 works perfectly
the 2013 bluetooth had much better sound for the person on the other end of the call - the 2017 microphone does not filter out the callers own voice very well.
The seats in the 2013 were WAY more comfortable. I had to modify the 2017 foam as the frame was not quite wide enough (6ft 260)
Tire pressure sensors actually identify WHICH tire has an issue - stupid runflats on the 2013 had many issues... Got rid of them

2017 looks great inside and out
Overall - for the price etc... should have kept the 2013 - or at least got a premium level 17.

Wait a second...I thought the seats in the new Maximas were supposed to be so comfortable?

And how did you modify the foam in the seats?

I came from a 2014 maxima to the 2016. I don't regret it at all, I had both cars in my garage for about 4 months before i sold the 2014, after driving the '16 for a few months and stepping back into the '14 to sell it man did that cars exterior and esp the interior felt so dated, like night and day difference. As far as power goes, the '16 in sport mode is way more responsive then my '14, and i drive the cars really hard.

I posted about it here.

https://maxima.org/forums/8th-genera...ont-seats.html

My biggest fix was adding more foam under the foam of the seat... I also bent the bolster out just a bit.

More comfortable... Not for me... The new Altima seats were WAY better again, I am just to wide for the Maxima seats. My adjustments made it good, it is just ridiculous to modify a new car. The thigh bolsters applied presser to my left outer thigh... Left a bruise after the first 300 miles.

But if you have been driving a 16 for a few weeks and are fine, then it probably isn't an issue for you.
