Currently in a 2017 Maxima "S" Model. So many things are missing in the base model. I should have checked out the features a bit more before purchasing.

Question is about retained power for the radio. When I turn the car off the radio goes off immediately, it does not wait for a door to be opened. Is this a missing feature on the newer models, or a missing feature on the base model?

Talk about spoiled. But it is a feature that I find myself missing.

 

Not only the S model. All models are missing this feature.

 

That sucks... There is still retained power for the windows....
Time to hook up a relay that is triggered by the retained power from the windows.
I think I can use that to supply power to the radio.

Man do we get spoiled fast!

 

Connecting your radio to window power huh? That could be kinda cool. As the windows move up and down so do the channels. You could change stations that way.
