Need advice - Tires/Wheels

Thinking about changing wheels and tires on my Maxima 2016.
19 in or 20 in. Concerned 20's may affect the ride and I hear that some cases the tires rubbed when turning. Any thoughts?

Just my opinion, and many here will disagree, BUT:

My opinion is that 18" wheels and tires are the best option if the 8th gen Maxima is being used as transportation.

I would rank 19" wheels and tires as a close second. !9 inchers definitely look good on this car, and offer a fine sporting (although a little firm) ride with lots of grip and control.

I personally would not be interested in 20" tires and wheels on this car. They can look great on this Maxima, and I would have no problem having them on the car for show purposes. But the short sidewall of 20" tires offers very little flexibility and cushioning that can be important for protecting both the tire and the rims from the potholes and shredded pavement so prevalent on today's roadways.

As I said, this is strictly the opinion of an old fogie, and many will disagree. So take this opinion for whatever you think it is worth.

No experience with 20" but like lightonthehill said, 18" is the best choice for normal driving, the looks are not that bad. A fried of mine also has a Maxima with 19" wheels and the ride is much stiffer. I would prefer 18" but if you want the car look better, 19" is a safe choice. I also had a look in the owner's manual and it looks like Nissan does not even count with 20".

I had a 2013 Maxima Sport... Great looking wheels for OEM. The 18" wheels on my 2017 S is another reason why I wanted the base model.

All 4 of my 19's had a ding in in the wheel (purchased used.) Just not enough sidewall. I guess it all depends on where you live and where you drive as to what fits you best. My 2013 came with Goodyear run flats... Hands down the worst tire I have ever owned, which may have contributed to my wheel issues.
