2016 Maxima SR - Rattling/Buzzing Coming from Driver Dash

I have a 2016 Maxima SR with 12k miles and I have this really annoying rattling/buzzing noise coming from the driver dash area. I'm including a couple of clips of the noise with this post. I searched the forums and didn't see any threads with this exact issue. To me its more of a buzz than a rattle but it could be anything. If I'm driving on a smooth road I only hear at 1500 RPM. Other than that, I can hear it on a bumby road or anytime the car is vibrating. Any direction on this would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same buzz. Sounds like a Geiger counter. I noticed that if I stick my finger between the leather "visor" and the round plastic housing of the instrument cluster (putting pressure on both) it goes away. See the red circles in the pic for location.
I'm thinking of making a couple small rubber wedges and push them in there.

Does your buzzing only occur when you're at 1500 RPM? What's weird is mine only rattles/buzzes when I'm at 1500 RPM or when Im on a real bumpy road. Other than that, I don't hear it at all.

I actually only hear it when going on rough/bumpy roads, at relativly high speeds (60+ mph). I don't hear it at 1,500 rpm if the road is smooth.

On second thought I heard a similar noise just the other day after the car sat overnight after a long trip back from Wisconsin to Ohio. I though crap, my first rattle. Just like another member on this site I happened to look up, by chance, and saw that my sun visor was not inserted in its holder. When I snapped it back in the noise disappeared. Hope you are that lucky.

I heard a similar sound, something rattling or flapping when going over 80mph.
I did find loose leafs stuck under the hood that I cleaned up and the sound is no more.. so check under your hood for any debris.

I checked the dash and also checked under the hood for any debris. Its not coming from either place. It appears to be coming from the steering column, not the steering wheel itself. I attached another video with the rattle crystal clear. I took the car to two different nissan dealerships and neither of them could figure it out or give me a definite answer on what it is. Either that or they are too lazy to take everything apart to resolve the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It may appear to be minor but it is starting to get really annoying.

This may be a dumb question, but do you have sunglasses in the sunglass holder?

I don't. I removed all personal property from the car in doing my tests. Also, if you watch the video the rattle happens every time I'm at 1500 rpm (also happens on a bumpy road). If the rattle was coming from sunglasses or other lose items in the car I don't think it 1500 rpm would trigger it.

FWIW, my wifes G37 Had a similar rattle at certain RPMS from the dash around the same location. Bought it to the dealer, duplicated and they tightened something up inside, noise went away.

If you have access to the service records to see what exactly was tightned it would be really helpful. Thank you!

States they Tightened Cluster Lid (2) assembly. Now Im not sure if they actually tightened one of the screws, or put some felt somewhere(Actually is a suggestion in the Shop manual to resolve, lol), but the noise never came back..

Not sure if this information helps, but maybe the dealer has a trick.

Tom.

I had the same exact problem I found mine was coming from the steering wheel I was mad one day and hit my steering wheel and the same exact sound came from it so I just beat on the wheel a bit and the sound stopped coming from the wheel now when I drive the sound is now gone
