Guage cluster problem

I went back to South Dakota for the Christmas holiday where the tempurature is 0 or lower every day, anyway when I start the car in the morning my gauge cluster settings all reset fuel economy, car icon color ect. Any one experience this or have any idea what is going on?

Sorry, can't say I've had that problem. It's been incredibly cold here in the Toronto area since I got my Maxima a couple of weeks back, but all good so far.

I did have this happen to me as well, just today, on my 2017 Maxima. I'm in the Minneapolis area, it's been pretty cold here so I was wondering if maybe that had something to do with it?

Either way, the issue is as you described it. I hopped in my car, drove to the store, and once I got to the store it asked me if I wanted to "reset best fuel economy." I thought that was a bit strange, and then I noticed that almost everything appeared to be factory reset - the car icon color, the fuel economy history, the trip computer mileage, as well as the trip computer itself. Miles to empty number also increased (presumably because it no longer has a record of my average MPG). Definitely a bit strange...

I've had this car for a little over a year, and last winter this wasn't an issue for me. What year is your Maxima?

Mine is a 2017 SR as well.

I noticed today when starting it up, for a brief moment the car icon color was reset, but then went back to its custom setting. The issue hasn't happened again, though. I checked the head unit as well, that did not reset.

It's still really cold here, so I'm wondering if when it happened previously it was something to do with the cold weather. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again.
