Hey Guys,

Just wondering what you guys think of the tesla style head unit for the Maxima. Currently I have an asus tablet setup with a mount I purchased from Amazon and drilled it in with a clip i got from proclip usa. It's been serving me well, especially since its easily removeable without dealing with all the wiring and stuff. But adding the Tesla style tablet would give it a more stock, polished finish than the current setup I have now. It is a bit on the expensive side and as we move forward apps will require more and more storage space even if I get the tablet with the highest specs I would probably have to change it sometime in the future to another one with higher specs. The questions I have for the tesla style tablet is if there are any glitches, if it lags. I know it can be hooked up to the rear camera of the car but does the tablet itself have a front facing camera/mic? I like using my tablet for skype calls, or being able to use voice commands while driving. Does the screen have 1080p resolution? I know that there is an issue with how the tablet gauges the temperature of the a/c or heat from a couple of reviews I read on it. Overall what do you guys think? Also if you guys have this installed, your reviews and pictures will be greatly appreciated.

I looked into it when I did my amp and speakers. I don’t get a warm fuzzy from them, and I realized I would loose some of the data on the center instrument cluster screen. I emailed them with a question and it took almost a week for them to respond. All I asked was could I see the back of it, and they told me they didn’t have any in stock. It’s a great Idea, but I get the sense it’s not 100% yet. There’s no other reviews, or you tube videos other than the ones they have.
