DIY: Refresh wiper blade TO NEW
DIY: Refresh wiper blade TO NEW
OEM wiper blade started to streak and squeak, if you follow this instruction no need to replace them;
Note; I did it when the temperature was warm.
1. Wipe clean the blades with rubbing alcohol, so all the dirt are taken off the blade.
2. Now, this is important use 303 rubber protectant, apply it liberally, no need to dry. DO NOT SPRAY on the rubber directly. Spray on the microfiber towel and apply it.
Next time when you have to use it use it, it will work like new or even better. Squeak and dragging is gone. The rest 303 can be use on the door rubber (any rubber part on car) which will create a better seal; so less wind noise.
Below is the product that I have used:

Great idea! Had not thought about using 303 as a dressing.
For many years I have used isopropol alcohol swabs (used for shot preparation) in individual foil packs to clean my wiper blades. It s stunning how much crud it removes from the wiper blade. Sometimes I use 2 of these to clean each blade! They are always at hand in my glovebox.

. They tend to shutter. But if you look at OEM vs aftermarket, the build dynamic are different, in terms of aerodynamics.
