Whistling sound when going 80+ mph

I have a 2017 Maxima platinum, just hit 15k miles one it. I’m driving to work and I noticed a whistling sound coming from the back right door, I stopped to check to see if anything was stuck outside the door check the windows to make sure they were fully up, just the rubber seal around the door perfectly fine. Haven’t found what’s causing the noise. Any ideas ?

I feel your pain. You may try these to key in on the whistling source:

1. Slightly open pass side rear window. Drive. Does whistling stop? If no, <go to> #2.
2. Slightly crack open pass side rear door (duct tape it to make sure it does not open any more than you want it to). Drive. Does whistling stop? If no, <go to> #3.
3. Duct tape around the closed moon/sun roof. Drive. Does whistling stop? If no, <go to> #4.
4. <go to> radio and crank up your fav tunes. Drive. Is whistling eliminated? If no <go to> #5.
5. <go to> dealer. Wait and Wait. Drive. Is whistling eliminated? If no, or they say whistling is normal, <go to> #6.
6. Tell dealer to <go to> h_ll.

Hope this helps. Let us know what you find. Whistles, squeeks, weird noises take some patient, logical sleuthing to solve. I know from many years of experience.

Just an update. I had someone sitting in the back while I was driving. Turn out to be the right passenger quarter glass panel. The seal on the rear end of it was coming off, I took it to the dealer and they replaced it for free due to it still being under warranty.

I need to look into that! I hear it at 80 also. Unfortunately, mine's a salvage (stolen recovery) so no warranty
