Cool blacking out the front

I gotta say I am so tempted to try to black out the Nissan badge AND the U-shaped chrome piece on the front of my 2018 Maxima. Maybe a body shop could paint it in a matte-black, might be a little expensive but I love my car and it's lines but I think the chrome on the front grille ruins the look of the car.

There’s also aftermarket one but there are no photos on how it looks on the car.

not sure why anyone would pay almost 300 then spend time taking the old one off and installing new..when you can just paint it gloss black for a fraction of the price...

I actually like the touch of chrome in the front of my white sr

Welll said, like it or not the chrome front is very distinctive. Why reduce that to a black blob with little or no detail. I however I would not be sad if the logo was a smaller diameter.

Personally I like this look, black out the badge (because it is too big) and the lower V trim.

Is your car black or dark blue? I got the dark blue which is amazing. Don't know what the name of the blue is, does anybody know? Not sure why I care.

This is the only aftermarket grill for Max. It’s been around for a long time but nobody had pictures of it installed. Now they posted it on eBay and different sources.

Kinda hard to judge. It kinda took off Nissan expression. Looks completely differently. I think its more suitable for black car rather than white or any other color.

I just don't get denuding the car of its identity. When Everything is black the styling detail just fades away.

My 2 cents

i ordered Superwrap Spray and did my chrome delete on the trunk of my SV and was extremely surprised at how glossy black it came out with no added products. Just 4 coats of gloss black spray.
When i decided to do the front my dumbaxx was too excited to wait for my engine to cool down and ended up with a plasti dip look to it. Now i have to redo it with a cool surface and go from there. Most likely going to chrome delete the emblem as well.

I like the way that ebay stealth one looks, but i agree with NisCal17.. without that "V" in the grille it slightly takes away from the identity. It initially gave me dodge dart vibes.
BUT if i did do this, I'd go gloss black with it.

Speaking of, I just blacked out my grille to 2018 SR "midnight edition" standards using Superwrap spray, but me being impatient, forgot to let the engine cool completely and didnt get the gloss effect i was looking for. Now it's plasti dip looking. From far it does look very aggressive though.
(I'll post the pictures today if I find some time.)

Was interested in that when it first came out... before there were pictures of it on the car.... not sure if I like it or dislike it lol. I like the V but not the logo on stock

I’ve had the front blacked out for almost 2 years, when I got the midnight grill last week I was going to leave the logo chrome but for some reason on a black car it just looks so weird to me.. all personal preference since I know people love the chrome

Congratulations. Your front end now looks like eveything else out there. No identity at all!

Yeah, I like the identity of my SL's grill look on my black '16... Wouldn't change it, but that's just me.
