SR LED Accent Lighting

This is standard on my 2017 SR, but apparently its not the 20 color adjustable LED Accent interior Lighting? Its some other LED Accent Lighting? Is the car wired for the 20 color just no controller nor 5050 LEDs?

If you have the 20 color feature, you will find the control switch in the center console storage area (between the front seats) on the front of the bin

There is no switch in the center console box that I can find. Since this is standard on the 2017 SR, it must be a different "LED Accent Lighting" than the 20 color one?

There is a dim white ambient lighting along the dashboard and doors. It's not very bright, but noticeable when it's very dark. I believe this is standard on the higher trims.

If you had the ambient color lighting, you will know it. It lights the foot area quite nicely. And as Robtroxel said, there is a definite button located inside the center console

The 20 color lighting is different than "LED accent lighting" in your SR.

So now I have to wonder if its worth it to have the 20 color option installed. Lot cheaper to just replace the footwell LED's with the a color bulb. A little misleading about the "LED Accent lighting"! Unlikely its wired for the 5050 LED bulbs that I think are used in the20 color version. I'll have to look and see just how many wires are going to the footwell lights.

Having all those color options is a probably a bit overkill. I change mine from time to time, but I imagine most people just pick a favorite color and leave it there. If you just want blue all the time (for example), save yourself a few bux and just get the colored bulbs or strips

There's a significance price difference between 2 bulbs and 20 color accessory, looks like bulbs it is.

Well put, the 20 color option might be 19 too many as I and the Fishman and many others probably chose 1 color and leave it there. Plus the location of the control switch is sucky at best. I have to empty out the center console just to get to the akward switch location

Well I just went out to look at the "LED" accent light that illuminates the wheel well --- and its not an LED!, so neither the wheel well light nor the door light are LED's. So just what are the "LED" accent lights? Now I'm really confused. At least there easy to get to. On my old 2010 I replaced almost all the interior lights with LED's and put projectors(Nissan badge) on the doors. Thinking about doing that also, but no one has projectors with the red part.

Well the 20 color option is in fact an LED set up. Not sure about the regular footwell lights w/o that option though. Make more sense for you to retrofit the one color LED replacements though.
