MPG - don't believe

I have a 2017 SL and the on board computer have been registering between 36 and 37 MPG on longer trips (200 - 400 miles) on the highway with the cruise control set between 70-75 MPH. Even travelling in the summer, by myself with little luggage on board, I am finding this hard to believe even though a rough calculation of the size of the fuel tank and the miles travelled confirms the figures. On my next long trip I will do an exact calculation to see where i am at. Is anyone else reaching these levels of MPG.

Yup. When I'm on the freeway with minimal traffic going 70-80 I hit about 36 mpg as well

Under the right conditions I get 36, confirmed by ACar app on my phone and manual calculations.

VQ does not like in town driving...quite thirsty. Not bad on the highway. My Altima gets no where near 35=36 on the highway and it is much lighter than the max....30ish best

yes, my highest is 36.9 on the highway (for a long stretch~100 miles straight). I'm getting 23.5 combined in mixed (and stationary) NYC driving.

I'm getting close to that fuel efficiency, but only on open freeway or open highway, and by avoiding cruise control, which lowers fuel efficiency except on perfectly level terrain.

I haven't been on the highway much at all lately, so not sure about that. But I've been getting 22 round town, which is about what I'd expect. I'm got a moderately heavy foot too so I can't complain

Mostly hilly rural driving in central Arkansas, A couple of trips to south Louisiana and that helps the overall mileage. The overall 27.5 mpg is better than my '09 SV.

you must have a leak somewhere, that seems way too low. Either that or got stop lights every 500 feet

My best tank is close to 36 mpg, best range 510 miles, averaging about 29 mpg over about 37,000 miles. I do mostly highway driving between 70 and 80 mph.

on the few occasions I have driven all real city I average below 20.

On the highway my last trip I barely managed 32 with a strong head wind. Return trip with the wind at our tail I was back to 36.

At 70mph, 36mpg is easy. At 75 I reduce to about 34. 80 gets me 31 to 32, and 85 gets me just under 30.

If I ever were to drive 130 it would not be for long enough to get a reading.

Highway mpg is awesome as well as power to overtake other vehicles. Amazing really. However city is crap. Regardless, great vehicle for the $$$. Resale stinks, but that's a market trend.
