Crave more power
What are a few proven methods for adding power to this motor? Love the 3.5 but coming out of a q50 red Sport I need a bit more juice. Are there any real intake exhaust or headers that get the job done?

I loved the Q50 but it was a tad bit too small and overall a uncomfortable car. I have two kids and the vehicle just wasn't designed for the school line. I honestly think the maxima is a better looking vehicle and a more attractive interior design, with nearly the same tech. I just feel another 30 to 50hp on this car would make a world of difference.

Performance wise. I think it’s a good happy medium on the Maxima. If one desires more power. That is what Infiniti line is for I suppose.

Dom864, sorry for hijacking your thread, how would you compare those 2 cars in ride/suspension department ? Will SR be able to keep up on the track or back roads? I might trade in my SR for the Q50 in the near future, my kids have grown up so wife and I don't mind smaller cabin space, the ride is sporty enough but like you I just wish there's more power. Also does Q50 come with apple car play /android auto ?

Well the ride would be won by the maxima by a country mile. No comparison, although in the curves the q50 would dominate. To me the q50 was just to harsh and small. Small issues such as foot well placement and cupholders mean something to me. My q50 was a 2016 so it didnt have carplay, but I would imagine the new ones do have it.

There is really nothing that you can do to this Maxima to make it any where near as quick/as fast as the RS400. A friend of mine has one non DAS and that thing just pulls Strong Strong Strong across the whole power band, he changed his tires out and it handles and rides much better than with the run flats.

i wonder why no ones tries adding a supplemental electric motor to the back wheels yet, for this or any other car. Even if that motor didn't have enough power to push the car on its own, wouldn't it take enough burden off the primary drivetrain to effectively equal added horsepower?
