New Headlights on Refreshed model

Hi all,

New to the forum, and I'm an owner of a 2017 Maxima SL. I'm loving the new headlights on the refreshed 2019 Maxima, and I was interested in possibly getting those lights on my Maxima.

For reference, I've put a link to the new Maxima: Here
Does anyone know if those headlights would fit the older model?

Also, has anyone installed the Black SR Grille on their Maxima? I've been thinking of putting that on too, and it would look fantastic with those new LED headlights. Thanks!

Just saw your post, the Grille looks good! I was thinking this grille and the new headlights would be a great combo. I know its still early, but hopefully the new headlight unit will fit on the 2016-2018 Maxima.

They look to be shaped the same. Be prepared to drop a pretty penny on them. They're going to set you back several thousand.

at several thousand dollars, you are better off selling your car and buying the new model. The new interior color looks pretty sharp too!

You could always hope that a garbage truck backs into your front end, then you get insurance to fix it, but get the shop to order the other lights...

It blows my mind that people think that incompatible parts on completely different model years would fit.
Unless you want your car to look like a riced up moron machine, they will not fit.

Wow, bitter much?

The 5.0 gen guys install 5.5 gen lights all the time. I installed the LCI updated tail lights on my pre-updated BMW 335i. There appears to be no changes to the overall shape of the 8.5 gen's bumper/hood/fenders, so I don't see why they wouldn't fit and I definitely don't see why installing OEM lights on a vehicle will turn it into a "riced up moron machine". Take a chill pill.

I hear ya. I remember when I had the 6.5 gen, and reading about people wanting to change out the front bumper of their 6th gen to get it to look like the 6.5...it would be fine if you could do that for $300, but you needed new light housings, bumper, fogs, if you wanted HID's the rewire would be a nightmare, I think even the fenders needed to be replaced, but the hood stayed the same, then you had to paint all that and get the blend to match. WHY? Keeping up with the Jones' pretty much. But I will admit, the video I just watched with the new lights for the 2019, they got everything to match, daytime runners, fogs, these new LED strip headlamp...it does look good. Realistically if someone traded in their 2018, took say a $3000-$5000 loss, it would still be less hassel then to get all the parts needed to get an '18 to look like a '19.
