Daytime running lights on with headlights on?

2018 Maxima SV

Is it possible to keep the daytime running lights on when the headlights are on?

They're ALWAYS on, when the engine is on. I've yet to find a way to turn the DRLs OFF in any way (without pulling fuses).

They are off under one condition - if you have the foot brake on when you start the car (not remote start), the DRL's do not come on until you release the foot brake.

Just curious. Why would you want to do that? Do you find the headlights not to be powerful enough?

I saw pictures here that showed Maxima's with both on. When I first looked at my car, I didn't see they were on, I was inside the car looking at a reflection. I know, lazy. So now I know they stay on, but are dimmer when the headlights are on. And no, the headlights suck on the SV, but that was not why I was asking this. I am hoping to get the headlight bulbs swapped for LED's soon.
