Any issues with the Stillen Front Splitter?

I've seen reviews and comments saying that the front splitter has fallen off at high speeds or come loose over long or short periods of time after install.

Does anyone have experience with this? Is it recommend to buy and use more 3M tape and different screws?

The same question would apply to the rear diffuser as well.

None! Of course I’ve added a few extra self-tapping screws just to make sure. My car is lowered with the splitter and I’ve rubbed it a bunch of times going in and out of driveways, etc. and no issues what so ever. Probably the best aesthetic purchase I’ve made yet.

Same holds true for the rear diffuser. No issues at all.

Purchased Stillen front splitter for my 2016. Ruined it over a huge dip within a month. Ripped it right off and under the car it went. Deformed the bumper quite a bit. Never remounted it.

i am friendly to lowered cars. That dip just kicked my *** that evening.

I am going to be installing mine in the next couple of days. I plan to rivet the splitter on instead of just using the self tapping screws.

Make sure to uses steel washers at the end of your rivets.

Yeah I had contemplated that, you’ve confirmed the necessity. Thanks!

FInd other sources that are cheaper .. Stillen is a rip off.. They use other suppliers and bend you over with ridiculous prices.. Their roof spoiler is a total joke at over $200 unpainted...

Ebay has one from Happybuyitnow .. same thing.. $69 shipped... lol

when i had my max i put on the stillen exhaust/intake but ordered the ikon splitter and diffuser. i was able to install them no issue but wasn't perfect, pain to get them to fit just right still had slight gaps. no idea if the stillen one is 100% perfect fitment or from the same mold. was good enough for me

I am sure it was fine for you, but most people either don't want or can't afford to pay Stillen's crazy prices... I was just giving some other more reasonable prices.. Its all coming from the same place.. China..lol

Black SR... I feel your pain. Even after you clean it, it's not clean. Black is never clean. I thought I learned my lesson with my old '97 SE in black when I swore OUT LOUD I'd never buy a black car again. Now here I am, with a black '17 SR Midnight.

I will be pulling the trigger and buying the front splitter in the coming weeks. Do you guys recommend vinyl wrapping or painting it for protection from rock chips, etc?
