Anyone running HIDs as fog lights?

I’m running one set of H11 3000K HID Fog lights. They are really bright but the lamp is hot to a touch. So hot it can burn your hands so I’m worried. It is something I should worry about?

I been looking for H16 bulb size but all that is available is H11 which is exactly the same bulb but runs at hotter at 55 watts compared to to 19 Watts. I ordered some LEDs for backup but I really want to run the HIDs they look so much better at night. Anyone having troubles with their HID fogs?

Those are not really designed for fog lights. You probably going the street like mothership. Blinding everyone on upcoming traffic.

I have small 6 watt led bulbs 12 per side. They are bright but useless... just for looks. I don’t use fog lights because I feel like they are super bright.

Now you’ve got 55 watt HID stuffed into reflector. This is outrageous.

Can you show me a beam pattern on the ground of the fog lights? I just want to see how it covers.

This is how mine looks.

This is the only pics I got right now of the HIDs. I actually changed to LEDs already. I like the HIDs because I feel like I can spot potholes quicker my city is rigged with potholes.

This is my current setup. 1 pair of LED JDM H16 and 1 pair of extreme yellow halogen H11. ( they also run hot at 55W)

I’m switching the H11 for golden yellow LEDs H16. Package arrives today.
