Complete roof assembly with pano sunroof

I been looking online and seen at least 7 wrecked platinum maximas for parts with the roof intact. I contacted the yard/owners and the complete roof assembly with pano sunroof seem to be a hot item as they were all sold. I heard stories of old maximas swapping the entire roof assembly by just taking the front window and rear window out. Also possibly drilling out some welds from under the rudder seals. I know a lot of SR owners want the pano roof including me. I got a a deal on my SR that I couldn’t turn down and love the way it handles. Just trying to see if anyone out there had any information I have a feeling this has been done to an 8th gen already. I’m just a fellow car enthusiast please don’t kill on this.

After watching the Goonzquad team on Youtube, I now fully believe anything is possible. Yes the Pano roof could be done and if you are in your car right, have the skills, or at least friends with skills, it would make a great story. Did the junk yard say how much dough for the pano assembly as well as the wiring?

I have been looking into this. I have done a lot to my sv, suspension and brakes etc. a new max just for pano is 47k even a used one would be worth it. ill rather pay the 1k-2k to install vise another 30k+.

Exactly what I was thinking. They should sticky this thread. I’m going to continue to look into this and do some research. Hopefully I can get up personal with a wrecked platinum.
