Tuning a 16+ Max

Hey guys, just dropping a note and some pretty cool new info I found on maybe tuning a 16+ Max.

So one of the reasons I got rid of my Maxima was a lack of aftermarket support and tuning. Got a WRX and was at a shop picking up a tune this week. While waiting I was given a tour of the shop and noticed quite a few Nissans/Infinitis.
I asked about tuning a 16+ Max to which they replied they should be able to do it, no problem. I wanted to pass along their info: https://www.awdtuning.com/tuning-services
I brought up the reports here that UpRev might not work on the Max. They said, "no worries. We've got several other solutions."
I get no kick backs, spiffs, nothing, just thought I'd offer this new found potential source for performance.
While not a Maxima, still a sweet ride that they dyno tuned!

Thanks for sharing this info for those still looking for a boost.
I also compliment your wisdom in getting a "tuner" car since the Maxima just does not have a big enough base to develop many after market performance additions.

What is it with people that have to "tune" this car? The reason there is no "aftermarket support" for this car is because those people are smart and know this car will not survive any appreciable horsepower upgrades and don't want the liability of helping you blow up your car (read: CVT transmission). So get your head(s) on straight, people. Live with it (or trade it in).

Get a car with a toothed transmission so you have a better chance of transmitting that power, like the on on that dyno. (Still not advisable without some heavy-duty trans internals).

I completely agree. The OP is yet one more example of someone trying to transform the Maxima into something which it isn't.
