Exclamation *2017MAX iPad mini mount

looking for a good one that doesn't block the view of the screen because i do use the CarPlay with my iPhone.

the cd holder one is cool but the iPad will get warm with the heat being that u can't stop those vents
the cup holders is cool but u need your cupholders
the flat surface on top of the dash seems best but seems like a tuff surface for things to stick

i plan on using it for stationary viewing so im thinking cup holder is best but idk. what do you guys think?

I have the cup mount and the CD mount for a tablet/iPad and completely understand. Go to amazon and type in gooseneck tablet car mount. With these you can mount them just about anywhere. I’m thinking of getting one and mounting it on the passenger side beneath the center console where it meets the carpet. This way when not using it you can bend it out of the way and tuck it along side of the center console and passenger seat. Or possibly even under the dash depending on where you mount it. Hope this helps and you find what you’re looking for.

I also like this idea, though that weathertech cup mount I see advertised also has an extension arm to raise the viewing area of the phone. Still you give up a cup slot to do this. From a safety point though, what is wrong with putting the phone aside and using the voice controls? There is a learning curve but it seems to be less distracting.

All of this is very true my friend. The reason for my iPad/tablet holder is for our in car entertainment. Which isn’t used all the time we’re in the car. For the kids I have headrest monitors with separate DVD players for each and in car Roku which is controlled by the iPad. So not only does the iPad control the viewing of the Roku Netflix etc... but it’s used for my passenger aka the Mrs to view movies as well. So the CD mount was cool but distracting and covered the factory screen and functions. The cup holder mount took away from having beverages for me and the Mrs on our trips. So with this new mount it’ll be out of the way of everything AND the Mrs will be able to tilt and move the tablet to face her and be less of a distraction. Can’t wait to get the new mount and test it out.
