Hey forum, anybody had any luck on cleaning the alcanatra part of the steering wheel? I have the carmel or camel color interior and the steering wheel has heavy blackish buildup. Any ideas or suggestions ?
I thought about this issue when I picked up my Max. I actually use a product that I use for cleaning my shoes. It’s called Crep Protect. And they sell a travel kit that comes in a small case with cleaning solution brush bowl and micro fiber rag. You can pick one up in just about any shoe store. Well more like Foot Locker Champs and Finish Line. Or online of course. It’s a well known brand in the sneaker community and heavily used. Works very good and smells great. Not only that but if you’re into shoes as I am you have a nice little cleaning kit and not just something to clean your steering wheel. Lol! I’ll attach some pix of one of my kits. Hope this helps.
You can try the magic eraser sponge. I been having huge success cleaning my interior using the magic eraser. All you do is add water and rub the area gently. Some come with two different textures on the sponge. One side is for scrubbing ( I wouldn’t use that side and don’t scrub the aluminum around the gear selector with it) don’t scrub too hard as it will leave marks. Then whip down with micro towel after it drys. You can get at any dollar store or Walmart. I love it because no chemicals.
