CVT Question ( 6 range driving )

In the owners manual ( pg. 5-15 ) it says not to drive on the highway on any ratio under 6. So that leaves the question. Is it really ok to cruise on 6? I was in a spirited mood last night and was pushing it on 6 with sport mode on. It performs really well on this range. Just wanted to hear some input on this.

Right under all that it also says basically not to drive at high speeds in any range lower than 6. So what I’m trying to get at is, can we safely drive at 6 range?. I like the feel better than 7.

Yes you can drive safely, but at higher RPM's in 6th gear.
