2017 Midnight Rim Paint Color

Last Saturday I got 4 new tires put on, and when I got home I noticed that during the install, they scratched some black paint off of all 4 rims. two are worse than the others, and I want to potentially try to touch them up myself.

There’s no damage to the rim, it’s just the paint. I was wondering if anyone knows the specific paint color, and if there’s a clearcoat you recommend using over it.

Just as a note, I’m in the works with the tire place to have it fixed, but I’m just asking in case I want to do it myself. Pictures are attached, thanks for your help!

Wow, that's some awful workmanship. You can see where they put the tool on and jus let it slide under pressure. Pure negligence. Tire changing isn't rocket science, but there is a bit of an art to it. Painted rims need to be gently worked on...

I would just grab some super high gross black paint from Walmart and those little absorbent black brushes with the wooden handle. Clean the rims, let it dry and then dab the paint on it on lightly. I wouldn't waste time trying to sanding it, might make it worst. Unfortunately these rims get scratches a lot even with nothing driving. I hit pot holes and have gotten scratches.
