Painting chrome accents

Hi got a 2019 SV and I absolutely abhor the chrome trim in the front makes the car look like a Sentra almost. That being said any advice from forum about painting/plastidipping the front accents? Is popping the bumper off necessary or am I better off just taping it off? Thanks

By looking at the part on eBay seems like chrome plastic is a clip on piece. So just take out the bumper and unclip chrome parts and head over to a local body shop. Pay them 50 bucks and they will paint it in black.

2018 had solid grill so you had to paint the whole grill. Not a big problem. But 2019 seems like a clip on. I also noticed that EBay sell those pieces for Nissan Rogue in black. Check it out maybe it will fit Maxima.

but I would take it to a local body shop.

You can buy most (maybe all?) of the pieces in gloss black but they are pretty expensive. I replaced my chrome grill with a black one and I believe it cost around $300, although I was able to sell my old one for $100. The small piece above the license plate was about $150 so I just wrapped that myself for $20 instead. It was pain but well worth the savings, it came out really well. All that's left are the door handles and emblems but I think I'm just going to leave those be.

What you are doing works well with the white car. I vote for leaving the door handles as they came.

Mini wrap job.....

Did some wrapping on my 2016, I did the spoiler, roof, trunk chrome piece and rear lower facia, debated about the door handles,
but had them wrapped too, I think they blend in better than left chrome, did 2 minor strips on lower front end, but removed them, first attempt at sending pics. hope it works.

Surprised I'm not getting any comments on my mild wrap job, maybe I took too long trying
to upload pictures. Ken
