Sunshade/rear area/Dashboard Help

Hello, I’m kind of out of options. I had my vehicle inspected by a DTS (dealer technical specialist) that Nissan Consumer Affairs sent. To no surprise, they found nothing wrong after driving my car 32 miles ))).

I recorded these two videos a day later. Granted the sounds are intermittent but I don’t understand how they heard none. It’s my rear sunshade, the front dashboard is squeaking/creaking over bumps, and when I have a bassy song playing, the rear deck lid and two side pieces rattle. Again. Not verified by the DTS )). *I* fixed one of the sound by tightening a screw in my door panel myself the same day and fixed one of the rattles. I am so dissatisfied with Nissan right now. I just want my car fixed . do you guys have any suggestions on what to do? It IS out of warranty. (49k miles)

No dealer will say they hear anything.. Rattles and squeks that only happen once in a while is a Pandora's box..
There are so many more important things in life at the moment than a rattle you hear every once in a while..
Find something to fill your day or turn the radio up...

That’s the issue. I’m paying all this money for a car and its NOT just once in a while. It’s usually daily. Just intermittent. Turning up the radio doesn’t help.

Taking it to the dealer will not get you any resolve... Advisor will write you up and car will go untouched.
Trust me on this.. We call these people quacks..lol

well, I guess I’m gonna be a quack, because I can’t stand it. Its pretty consistent and turning up the volume doesn’t help. It didn’t do this in my 2017, so why should it do it in my 2018?

Were you actually able to locate the source of the rattle?

I’m not sure where on the sunshade. I just know that it is coming from there. I circled where the other noises are coming from. The rear deck lid itself, and those two side pieces where the airbags are. I feel like it’s a simple fix 🤷‍♂️

Rear rattle: stick two small pieces of foam (like home door/window insulation) on the inside of the lip of the sunshade housing.

Dashboard rattle: stick two small rubber triangles under the instrument cluster "hood"

that video I posted is with the sunshade up. Not sure if it will help me with that or not. I’m sure it’s worth a try. Thank you!

that’s for a buzzing sound it seems. Mine only occurs over bumps and is definitely not a buzzing noise.

Have you had someone else drive, and sit yourself in the back - you might luck out and isolate the noise YOU are hearing...

That’s the issue it’s intermittent at times so I’ll never know when to have someone else drive it. It just happens. From what I can tell I know the area it is coming from.

hmmm. I doubt they’ll replace those for me. Are they part of the 3/36 or 5/60 powertrain warranty? Bc my 3/36 is expired due to mileage. I had a creaking noise from the back of my car. I’m still not sure what it is and it appears to be gone for the time being but the other noises are there.

I had this sunshade rattle as well, but my issue was easy to identify. The roller on pass side fell out, so when retracted it allowed enough slop that it rattled. I noticed the one side was missing a wheel, and subsequently looked/found on floor the actual wheel. So far it has remained, but will express concern to dealer when I go in if it falls out again.
