Windows rolling down automatically after car is turned off
I am new to this forum and I need some help please. My windows on my 2017 Nissan maxima keep rolling down automatically when my car is turned off. My key FOB doesn't work properly and when I hit the lock button on it it rolls down the windows sometimes. My FOB unlock button plate came off so there is no way I can use FOB to unlock the car, I have to use the little button on the outside of the door handle to unlock it. Is there any way to make the windows stop rolling down automatically and disengage it? I am worried about it at night and inclement weather with this issue going on. Would appreciate any advice anyone can give! Thanks!

Its the keyfob that is the culprit. On a normal/functioning keyfob, if you press and hold the unlock button, the two front windows will go down automatically when the keyfob is in range of the car. I do this on hot days when approaching the car to start letting the heat out.
Easy way to test: leave the keyfob at home and take the car out for a drive with just the key, then turn the car off when the keyfob sitting at home.

How is he supposed to take the car for the ride without keyfob? There’s no way he can even unlock the car without keyfob being in range.

No it is not damaged ar all or flooded. It is still almost brand new cat, has 35,000 miles on it. It just recently started going haywire with the windows constantly going down by themselves a couple days ago. Have it parked in garage right now. Just want an easy fix until I can get it to a dealer so that the windows will stop rolling down

Start the car with the keyfob, take the key out of the keyfob, leave the keyfob in the house then drive away and comback and park, turn off car and exit, see if the windows roll down.

I would probably start the car and isolate keyfob in some foil or something and do the same without leaving the house. 😜

Try this and see if it worked...
Remove the battery from the key fob.
Flip the key fob over, then push the small release latch.
Pull out the hidden emergency key from the bottom of the fob.
Insert the key in the driver’s side door and unlock it to enter.
and use the key inside the fob to lock and unlock the doors.
To start the car. Simply press the key fob against the START/STOP button as you step down on the brake

I want to thank all of you who helped with my issue. I took the battery out of key fob and took key out of it to lock and unlock doors. Started it by putting the fob on the start button and so far so good. I will see if it works overnight because usually that's when the front windows randomly roll down(hours after it's been parked!) This site is great and so happy I have this forum to ask anything I need to know! Thank you!!!!!!😁😁😁😁

PLEASE HELP WINDOWS WONT STOP ROLLING DOWN AUTOMATICALLY!
Can u please help me. I have a 2014 nissan maxima. I've done something with my key fob & I have no idea what I did. When I went to lock car the windows automatically rolled down so it was pointless to even lock the car. Somehow I fixed that issue ( have no idea how I did it). Now its no longer rolling windows down when I lock it. They have started automatically rolling down when I unlock it. It wouldn't be an issue until it is storming or I'm in an unsafe area. Can you please tell me how to fix this issue. Again the windows automatically roll down when I unlock car with key fob. How do I stop this or deactivate it?
