Forward Emergency Braking Light

Hello all,

Has anyone experienced this with their 2016 Maxima? My Forward Emergency Braking light has started to intermittently come on. There are times when it will come on while I'm driving and other times it will only come on when I'm stopped say at a light. Just curious if anyone else has had this issue and what the resolution was in your experience.

Thanks!

Does your car also do an emergency application of the brakes too?

Could be the radar based antenna mounted behind the right front bumper cover that is faulting out.

No, the light just comes on. If close to another vehicle it still gives the warning beebs. Not sure if the brakes get applied as I'd rather not find out that they don't! lol

haha you'd know when the emergency brakes get applied. It's happened to me once when the Jeep in front of me slammed on their brakes to not miss a driveway. It's abrupt

Get a large 3 + ft square cardboard box and place it in your driveway. Drive your Max towards this box @ 5 mph but do not apply brakes till you hit the box.
By rights, the autobraking should kick in before this happens.

Just wanted to hop on this thread and ask a question, my FEB light also came on randomly whether I'm driving or stopped. Just does a long beep and stays on.
This started happening like maybe days or weeks after I had a little rock hit and chip my windshield and the crack obviously spread more and made a solid line from about almost the middle of the windshield by driver side vertically all the way up to by the sensors and everything in the middle top of the windshield.
Does anyone know if this could be related?
I was thinking maybe the crack is affecting a sensor that the FEB needs to actually work.

Can't tell you if it could be related, but there is one sure way to find out, replace your windshield, which is way past due considering your description.
