Xm Radio Programming

My XM radio will not stay programmed. I have done all the troubleshooting with XM more than 10 times! Could it be the radio?

Details?

What car - make, model, and year?

Did the XM radio ever work properly?

Are you having any other similar symptoms, like not retaining regular radio memory?

in the distant past I had similar sounding problem with Sirius radio in an older Mercedes. All of the sudden channels were gone and I couldn’t program them. Spent days trying with Sirius folks. Reboot after reboot after reboot. Then was forwarded to a higher-tier service tech who told me that they changed there frequency scheme and my radio did not support the new frequencies that my favorite stations were moved to. It was not well advertised and even the Sirius help people didn’t know about it other than “you might need a new radio”.

It is a 2016 . Everything else is perfect. That makes more sense than some the stuff XM techs had me doing! Thank you.
