2016 Nissan Maxima

My car is having an issue. When accelerating, my RPM's reach upwards of 4,000 revs., but my speed is barely increasing. Has anyone seen this before? Is my transmission junk?

Same problem here. No codes initially. I changed the battery terminal & new battery; mechanic said alternator was good. After weeks of "limp mode" which would happen after I stopped at a traffic light, I finally got 3 codes. The car would go into "limp mode" and stall out while driving. Battery drained, but if jumped off be just fine until the next time. The 3 codes P0335, P0340, P0345 are related to camshaft and crankshaft sensors. My 2nd mechanic ran a diagnostic that kicked back the transmission. He cleared out the codes and ran it a second time and the transmission came up again. So, I'm pretty sure that it is the CVT transmission. It is at the dealership being diagnosed as I type. I'll update as soon as I have more deets.

For mine it was the brake light sensor. It only happened after applying brakes and not every time. I'd apply brakes at traffic light, light changed and car couldn't go more than 15 mph...I could have the petal all the way down and nothing, no response. Took 3 months in and out of shop...no codes. Finally someone on here had it happen to them so I insisted that the dealer change it out. Crazy part, they finally did, took for test drive and it happened again ( first time tech could see what I was talking about), didn't shut off car...finally gave code of bad brake light. Yep the new part went bad that fast too.
