Performance Upgrades

Hello all. New to this forum and recently bought a 2019 Maxima SR. Looking for some minor performance upgrades and bought this stage 1 chip from PCT. Curious if anyone has done a chip on their Maxima and what have been their results? I’m also buying a K&N “short ram” intake. Not looking to get crazy but wanted a little extra power. Thanks in advance

Both wrong! The performance Chip and intake both made significant increases in power. PCT stage 1 chip and K&N intake for the win. I’m aware of what was there before both of these upgrades and without a doubt is noticeable.

I am amazed at what the Maxima can do in stock form when it comes to strong acceleration. It may well be that there is some improvement with the above additions but the base foundation of this car is getting good mileage with a CVT so for a few 10 ths of a second reduction, you open up the chance of a premature loss of the CVT. If you are a wrencher, you can replace it but I can't help but think you have chosen the wrong car to experiment with.when you have rear drive Chryslers out there already rodded. with solid trannys ready to go. The Maxima does look like it goes fast just sitting on the drive but in many ways it is an imposter for that purpose. One thing it does so well in getting great MPG day in day out on regular gas wih no turbos and offeres great passing power. it is what it is.

I’d pass on a chip for the Maxima. I’m thinking money better spent would on appearance mods.

I replied to you here, BigBuck. Haven't sent you any "messages". Still waiting for you to back up your fruitless claims, since you boldly stated that everyone in this thread is wrong and there are "significant increases" by adding a K&N filter and a performance chip.

We'll wait.
