I'd look at the service records. For best performance and longevity you should optimally get the CVT fluid done every 30k miles. I wouldn't worry too much about it though if it hasn't, just get it done soon

Great advice! Do ask the service dept to be sure to change the internal round filter in the CVT. From what I understand, that isn't always done on the fluid change and it should be.

Other comments?

Thanks for the CVT filter change recommendation RT. I recently had the CVT fluid exchange done on my '16 at 91k, and wasn't aware the filter s/b done. Will know for next time.

According to the Service Manual, just need to inspect very 10K. Check section 9-10.

People complaining about CVT longevity tend to be referring to older Maximas. CVT transmissions have been around for a long time now.

Yes, the service manual says inspect every 10K, the dealers are recommending every 30/40k flush, I just had a talk with them a few weeks ago when he had the wife's Murano there for CVT flush, we stretched it out to 50k. I am going to have mine done at 50k since I am only about 7k away .
