Factory Reset Infotainment Console
Factory Reset Infotainment Console
I'm trying to troubleshoot the Android Auto Has Stopped Unexpectedly error in my 2018 Maxima SV. I purchased a new USB interface, no luck. I found the diagnostics menu with the Home+Volume **** and did the user info reset, no joy then I went to do what I thought was the factory reset option but it asked me:
"Do you want to delete the factory configuration data stored in the system?"
And that reads like I'm wiping EVERYTHING, I'm scared to continue. Is that the right way to factory reset the Infotainment Console?
Thanks

I'm going through the same issue with my 2018 Maxima sv. Android auto works for a minute or so then I get a USB error. Pulled the radio checked all connections and wires, replaced the USB ports still no joy. Have been trying to find out if there is a software update and can't get an answer. If you figure it out please post it
For what it's worth THIS has been my solution...
OTTOCAST A2Air Wireless Android...
The error has gotten so bad the Android Auto was basically unusable and this works 100% it just converts your Android Auto to wireless. It's fantastic.
However I have not figured out what the original problem was.
