Remote start

Hello I'm new to this forum, but I'm having an intermittent issue with my remote start on my 2020 Nissan Maxima SV. I took the first step and replace the battery in the key fob even though all functionality otherwise worked perfectly. The remote start does not work. I do the remote start process but it looks like nothing gets initiated. One thing I also noticed at the start of this issue. Was that now when I turn off my car and open my driver door I get a consistent beeping which was non-existent prior. No warning lights on the dash. Any ideas?

Yes it is enabled and has worked for about a year with no issues until now. I have tried unplugging the battery and making sure there is no cheep accessories that possibly have a parasitic drain on the battery.

Just a thought, but continuous beeping on exiting means lights are on. Is your headlight switch in auto mode.? Try turning it to the off position, see if beeping stops.

yes I tried turning them off but the beeping is still there. Also I believe the headlight beep is one continuous beep. Vs a triple beep in which I'm experiencing.

Does your car have a safety feature of beeps if you get out of the car with something still on the back seat?

Only if a back door was opened and closed before driving. Then it gives the alert to check rear seats for articles.
