Front Strut Replacement

Hello, with 102,000 miles on my 16 Platinum, and some clunk type noises (especially when cold), I think it is time to look at replacing my front struts.

Any recommendations from Rock Auto? I would not mind a slightly softer/comfortable ride too. I bought the car with 70,000 miles and the ride has always felt stiff, bumps shake the entire car and are loud.

Should I replace the links at the same time?

This is not a procedure I have done but cannot imagine it is too difficult, anything in particular I should know? I assume alignment will be required once complete?
