Hey everyone! I just replaced the belt and tensioner pulley, but during an easy acceleration there is a squeal from up front. It’s not during start up/idle, it’s not during a hard acceleration. I can ride the squeal out and keep it making noise for 30 seconds, or if I put my foot down more it will stop squealing but the car will rev up harder than necessary. Any input would be awesome! I also just tried belt dressing and that didn’t help. Thanks !

 

I´m guessing that you did not use OEM belt and tensioner pully.

 

I didn’t ! Have you had any experiences with using the OEM parts over aftermarket? Any you would share? I’m willing to try anything, thanks !

 

Others have reported the same noises using non OEM parts.

OEM is the only way to go.
