If they are the brembos off the Z's, the rotors should be 12.6"

 

This is probably a noobish question and I'ma probably get flamed for it but what the hell..... Do the G35/350z brembo calipers fit a '02 maxima without a custom bracket? I assume you'll need matching rotors that go with the calipers, but I dunno if a bracket is required to make it fit. Also if they fit, will they work with the stock SE wheels???

ok, those are 6th gen rotors, 12.6(or .8 ?) x 28 mm, slotted rtp, no, the calipers will not fit without some custom work.

They look like the F40 Calipers from BREMBO

 

Ferrari ehh. I swore they were Porsche. Eitherway they are brembo nice work man.

 

How many piston are they? You're pedal might not have a good feel with our master cyl.

don't think they will clear oem 17"s, but they fit behind these:

 

with my front 17x8.5 there is about .5" clearance all around - to the wheel and the spokes.

 

my brake pedal never did have any good feel to it anyway... it's a nissan, not a bmw. on the other hand my old '98 without abs had a better feel. go figure.

Since you're apparently not going to let anyone in on your little "secret" of what calipers you're using, this thread is WORTHLESS in terms of discussion potential here in the "advanced suspension and brakes" forum.....All you're doing is posting pics of things and talking about how they "look."

- using calipers from other cars on a maxima = nothing new
- making a bracket to get the calipers to fit = nothing new
- using 6th gen rotors = nothing new

So, since you haven't been so kind as to inform anyone what you're using, you have posted NOTHING NEW OR USEFUL.

Hey, I have NO problem with people having their "secret" or proprietary mods....many people do, and that's most certainly their/your perrogative. My point is that if it's so secret, why post a thread about it...that's all I just don't see the point, unless it's some kind of misplaced "I'm better than you because you don't know what I did" bravado

I'd be more than happy to comment positively on what was undoubtely a good amount of work and effort on your part to put this kit together....but I'm not able to do that until I know WHAT I'm applauding. Yeah, so the calipers look nice..so what? What matters is how they fit, how they perform, etc.....this is not the "advanced styling" forum here..


Sure, I could spend a couple of hours searching around and eventually would figure out what kind of calipers those are, but it seems kind of counterintuitive to do so when you could just tell us.

I personally i dont give out details right in the first post due to the fact that its interesting what ither think and ask.

i dont think maxs was asking people to tell him congrats. thats not what he was expecting to hear from people when he made this thread. i will let him chime in on that.

now lets stay on topic and enough whoring up the thread. we can do that in the regional part of the forum.

just for those who are wondering.
