Doing my own BBK: Need a little help

Looking to do something a little different in terms of a BBK, not that anything is wrong with the ones that are available for our cars, but I just want to do something original and custom to my car.

What i'm looking to do is upgrade to a 6061-T6 forged aluminum 38mm x 38mm 4-piston caliper with all aluminum adapters, 2-piece center mount rotors size 332x24mm (13.0" x 0.9") that are roughly 14.5lbs, and goodridge stainless steel brake lines.
My questions are am I going to have any issues "transplating" this system on to my front brakes, are doing the fronts sufficient or do I need to do the rears as well, how dramatic of a braking difference should I expect from this type of setup, and have I missed anything/is there anything else i need?

sounds like ur looking to spend a good amount of money. i think some of the setups out there are really good, esp for the money. my whole z32/cobra brembo/hawk setup cost me less than 500bucks shipped.

itd be really hard to match theyre performance for the money.

altho id really like to see other options tho, never know what u might find.

Money isn't the issue for me right now, and i'm not knocking some of those other setups out there either, especially yours. But like I said, i want to do something slightly different then what's already out there.

Plus my setup shouldn't cost me more then $800-$900, I look at it like this if I can spend $500-$600 on tires, $350 on a pipe under my car then me spending $800-$900 is more then worth my ability to stop twice as fast as I can now. This is the most important mod that I can do for my car, and I want to get it right.

y do something different when u will get teh same results from a cheaper kit that already exists...and wht calipers are 38mm wide...and waht rotors are that wide to accommodate that rotor

what calipers are you using?
what's the piston size?

that's the biggest issue with all of these aftermarket brake kits... make sure you don't ruin your brake bias by running calipers with the wrong size pistons.

Well I'm not 100% certain that i'm going to be building this kit, once I have the final price/advantages over what's out there is when i'll make my final decision. I'm ordering a set of calipers from RacingBrake. Rotors size are 13/332 which aren't that hard to find.

ewwwwww... pick up a set of Wilwoods. Superlites are under $150 per caliper, brand new. MUCH better caliper than those.

I had planned on it, but i'm under 5k now with how much i have to pay off and I'd rather dump money into a car that I own to get her running perfectly rather than finance another car and start over again.

Been trying to get ahold of Jeff to talk to him about his brake package though, the more I look at it the more attractive those 13'Cobras with the Z32's are looking...
