Ok i know theres a million threads and stickys on the .org about suspension but i just want to ask something a lil diffrent.... does any1 have tokico blues w/ stock springs installed on their 2000-2001 SE and couldn't stand it anymore because every pothole they hit felt like the end of the world and ending up changing to a different strut/spring combo which made there rides comfort improve dramaticly?.... i know i know "get the illuminas" but honestly im scared to spend the money on struts from the same company that make the horrible blues.... keep in mind i do live in NYC and the streets are horrible...can anyone testify to having a much better ride than Tokico Blues and if its worth the money? because my car feels like everything is going to fall apart with these struts on

 

You must have other issues.

I installed Tokico HP's (blues) with Maxspeed "lowering" springs a few thousand miles ago and have yet to bottom out over speed bumps, potholes, etc. I had the entire family in the car and the entire trunk full of boxes of clothes and easter crap this sunday and still did not bottom out.

Check your upper/lower control arms and ball joints as well as end links. Something else has to be wrong unless Tokico upgraded the quality of their HP's since you bought yours.

 

nothing is softer thats worth buying other than OEM, which are tokico.

 

if my control arms and ball joints are bad..how would i know? what should that feel like?

 

Clunking rolling over the smallest of cracks, speed bumps, etc.

Potential loose feeling while on the freeway. Feels a lil' like swaying when steering wheel is straight.
