Rear GC/Koni noise and excessive wear
Update:
I just re-did the rear Koni-GC setup like mowgli29 did and it's WAYYY better.
I had thought the rear Konis were blown or there was something big rattling around inside the rear sheet metal. Now there is no noise going over most bumps and the car rides alot less floaty. It's pretty nice now, only when you hit a good sized bump or rut I know im on an aftermarket suspension. I will dial the rear struts back a touch in due time, but for now im happy with it. Another thing to add it gained about 1/2" of suspension travel! The rear suspension sits lower so now I have to adjust the GCs a 1/2" higher to make up the difference.

And do you happen to have any pics of the GCs on the rear konis? I just got my rear konis and when I went to install them...the threaded collars were not even close to fitting. way too short and way to large of a diameter. I ended up making it work fine, but it's not how I'd like it to be. Basically I think I figured out the difference between GC kits for konis and GC kits for tokicos. That, or maybe koni changed something on the rears....but I doubt that's it.
and sorry, I'll take care of my previous pics, lol.

Awesome! Glad it's working better for you Joe. And I feel a little better now that someone can backup my installation method. Actually I think Nate (MorpheusZero) did it the same way too....so that makes 3 of us!

No pics of anything taken tonight. Kinda sucks when I have a white colored camera and grimy shop hands.
Anyways the rear Konis have this ring that comes with them. It barely slides over the strut body and rests on the notch of the strut. The GCs for Konis have this notch machined out that sits on top of this ring. That's how I set mine up. Also I did something similar to this.

I cut some 3/4" heater hose and shoved it in between the GC collar and the strut. This helps quiet it up and keep the collar from moving under load.

Do your GCs have two taller collars and two shorter ones? if so, do you have the shorter ones in the back? I do...
I ended up having to install the rear spring perch (supplied from koni) upside down, to gain height, and then I raised the GCs allll the way up!

Ruh oh.
Sounds like you mixed up the GC collars. The front and rear collars are two different kinds.
The Konis have a C clip thats on the strut and a ring that rests on the c clip. That ring is all you need. You don't need those spring perches that Koni supplied. The rear GC collars have a groove machined out of the bottom and that rests snugly on the ring.
