4th gen traction bars fitment

Ok, so I'm trying to install my traction bars, I did the right side first and everything went smooth until I started with the left side:

I tied the bolt until I noticed the bar was rubbing with the tranmision, it even bent the traction bar base plate, now my question is what's wrong? do I have to drill a hole on the lower arm?

Uhhh, mount it below the control arm instead of from above?

also, I would think it should mount farther out on the control arm, no?

If you have an automatic transmission, you will need to bend the left traction bar to go around the transmission. If these are Jbars, this will clear the left side bar just fine. It worked for me. A simple pipe bender or conduit bender will work.

Cool! I'll try to install them again tomorrow.

Thanks!
