My friend, a nissan master tech has a set of heads from a 2K3. what performance improvements could I make to them if I wanted to install them on my car?

That's not sarcasm...it really will make your wallet lighter lol

What it would accomplish, I don't know. But when SR20DEN speaks about the VQ (or Nissan), I'll listen.

I listed the ONLY thing it will accomplish. Same heads, same part numbers.

Duh...I'm not looking to just swap out heads....

Is there anything I can do to the 2K3 heads that would be a performance improvement? If there was, I might swap out modded heads for mine.

Again, you can waste your money. Modifying Nissan cylinder heads is at the very bottom of the list. They're so good that if you do much of anything to them now you'll stand a better chance of making your car actually go slower down the track.

Everyone note that even I choose to leave them alone.

does anyone know what these heads are worth? Not what Nissan would rip you off for them, but what would be a good price to pay for them.

Thanks,

Trex

Update:

I know of a shop that is experimenting with the VQ35 heads and claim to have found some gains. However they won't release the details untill the entire job is complete. In other words, they won't know if the flow improvements will actually make power untill the heads are dynoed.

Let's hope there's some gains to be made. Probably expensive out the @$$ though...
