I know broing engine cylinders are pretty dang cheap! Here where I'm at it cost the machine shop a whopping $22 to bore each cylinder head to your own preference. The only tedious part of that is stripping your entire engine of its life until new life is bored out of it. This project would generally take a week to complete of working on it after school and late nights. If you're gonna bore it the cost of parts to make them work with each other,e.g., new pistons, cams, etc is going ot be high. I suggest just getting a used 3.5 liter engine and swapping out the pistons and crap otherwise your maxima is gonna be worth about $40k! Good luck and hopefully you get where you want to!
