2k1 5spd Fuel Cut Increase?

Is there a mod/chip/reprogram that will increase the rev limitor fuel cut on a 2k1 5spd?

Hold on a sec!! :-) I see you have the mod. Do you have a thread already on your review of it or dyno results? Tell me more? What does it cut at now? Any dyno results? What is the max mph or each gear now? Shift from 2nd - 3rd must be sweet now.

I might consider this mod and also upgrade me oil pump to a 3.5 pump which I hear is a perfect fit and much more reliable.

I haven't really started a thread on this since the company has been quite slow on marketing this product (waiting for confirmation on their website). They've been busy with a lot of 350z and g35 guys

I do have a dyno chart, but my stock run is still with the company. I have some minor tuning still left to eek out some more hp, but I put down around 197hp/197tq with a y-pipe and intake on 18's. The ecu is more of a mid-range power adder and the fuel cut increase

It now cuts at 7100 rpm with no driveability issues or pinging on 91 octane pump gas. The tach itself reads 7400 rpm depending on the gear since its a little off at times. I've only seen the max rpm in 3rd and 4th (on the dyno) which are about 107mph and 143 mph.

The ecu features advanced timing, rev limiter increase, tuned fuel and ignition maps, and removal of speed limiter

Wow that is awesome! I can't believe this isn't a sticky? Most of the posts I see are about springs and intakes etc... When you say "tuning" are the still programming the ecu or do you have a safcII? Must be nice staying in the power band for 2-3 shifts and above. How much are we expected to pay in your opinion? Do you think you will do the 3.5 oil pump upgrade as well just for extra reliability?

i'm not shifting at 7100 rpm all day, I think the oil pump will be fine for now. Its impossible to tune the car perfectly with these ecu flashes, i'll be going with some type of safc-II or similar. The price will be in the range of the 02-03 maximas on their website, however i'd opt for the cheaper L-spec alternative version which just have the adv timing, rev limiter increase, and speed limiter removal

there could be a possibility for 2000 cali spec vehicles if you run a 2001 cali spec ecu. Otherwise the 2000 ecu schematics are too close to the 98-99 4th gen ECUs and are unable to be worked on

what do you wanna know mike?

btw, they are not going to do group deals. The last one on the org with 30+ 4th gen buyers ended up with only like 3-5 ppl buying it. The maxima business is a sour market for them. The 01's lucked out because our ecu's are similar to the 02-03's and theirs similar to the 350z/g35s

I feel like i have no hp after 3700 rpm's. Is this the rev limiter/fuel cut off? I added the intake and ypipe and feel little improvement as i'm pulling off with accords and vw's in my 00 manual. Is this even the same thing? I cant tell what year my ecu is but for a few hundred dollars to get rid of that lack of power would be desired.

the rev limiter is exactly as it states, you can't rev any further past that point because the ecu sets a limit. Or basically where the red parts start on your tach since the needle won't go past that.

there are more problems associated with a loss in power at that rpm. Time to trouble shoot or take it to a mechanic

Actually, the ecu cuts the fuel. You can certainly rev past redline - just downshift from any gear when at redline!

well technically your not revving past redline by gasing it, but rather having your tranny match the speed of what the car when you put it into the wrong gear... putting it past redline.
