So what does the stock MAF max out at on an NA car?

I have been doing to data logging w/ my SMT6 and my MAF voltage is at 4.2v at 6600rpm(or redline). What is the stock voltage at redline? At what HP does the stock MAF max out at on an NA car? I have read alot of info on boosted cars but I do not know if that applies to NA cars.

The 3.0 A32 MAF maxes out at 340 HP (290 whp). Nobody has ever maxed out that MAF on an N/A car.

Interesting, I wonder what you 3.5 guys are at then. I am no where close to you guy's power and I am at 4.2v.

interesting, cause I thought maybe the MAF maxes out at 5v

however it would be interesting to see how much x volts is x hp. If 0.1 v is 10hp, then you still have .8v to the max of 5v (80hp?!)

So at 4v I am at 272 Crank HP

340/5 = 68
68*4 = 272

I will maybe make 245whp once the tuning/timing advance/A/F is done. 45whp is alot and I don't know how someone is going to be able to make 290whp on an N/A VQ35 (vq30 is just way out of the league) short of internal work.

Even with 272deg cams, fuel and timing maps from a 350z, and Crawford Z FWD Plenum I wouldn't expect anything more than 270whp. Right now 263whp is the record for an N/A max and I believe an Altima has hit 268whp N/A but that is unofficial. 290whp is mad torque steer territory.

It's non-linear guys....

Bernardd stated 5.12Vdc is the max voltage on typical Nissan MAFs.

If thats the case it wont handle the power they say. I was hitting 4.95v in 3rd gear @7300

For referance I was at around 80% MAF voltage via my SAFC at 260whp. But like Icey said, it is not a linear curve. IIRC, at higher voltage levels the voltage will increase much faster than power will.

Again, you're using a SAFC, correct?

If you are adding fuel, you are adding voltage.

I was only adding maybe 5%

That doesn't mean it's not 0.5V more or less...does it?

Make it zero and see what the difference is...

Still adding 5% is only .25v

You've measured that?

I highly doubt that's so.

the math is pretty simple.

The MAF voltage vs. RPM is non-linear, ie slope changes....so it's not simply 0.05x5v=0.25v.

Unless you measured it or have the A32 MAF voltage vs. RPM curve and do some math, it's not that simple.
